Bradley Bowen, MPsych (Clinical Psychology), BA (Hons I), BSc, AMusA, MAPS Principal Clinical Psychologist & Clinic Director, Sydney Children’s Practice

Bradley Bowen is a Board-registered Clinical Psychologist and the Clinic Director of Sydney Children’s Practice, with over 25 years’ experience supporting children, adolescents, and their families. He has been practising as a Clinical Psychologist since 2011 and is widely respected for his calm, warm, and thoughtful approach, helping children and families feel safe, understood, and supported during times of emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenge.

Bradley holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology) with Distinction, as well as First Class Honours in Psychology. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Immunobiology and an AMusA in Music. This diverse academic background supports a science-informed and holistic understanding of child development, alongside creativity and flexibility in therapeutic work.

Clinically, Bradley has a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents, especially those with ADHD and Autism, as well as children experiencing anxiety, stress and depression.

He is deeply committed to helping children better understand themselves, develop emotional regulation skills, and build confidence and resilience in everyday life. Bradley values parents and carers as essential partners in the therapeutic process and works closely with families to support meaningful and lasting change.

Bradley uses a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness, tailoring therapy to the developmental stage, strengths, and individual needs of each child and family. His approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical.

In addition to his clinical work, Bradley is a board-approved supervisor and is passionate about professional development and mentoring. He provides supervision to psychologists within Sydney Children’s Practice as well as to external clinicians.
As Clinic Director, Bradley oversees the Sydney Children’s Practice clinics in Glebe and Stanmore, providing clinical leadership, governance, and staff training. He is also supported by Dolly, the practice’s therapy dog, who plays a valued role in creating a calm and welcoming therapeutic environment.

Bradley’s contribution to child and adolescent mental health has been recognised nationally. In 2024, he was named a Finalist for Psychologist of the Year at the Australian Allied Health Awards, and Sydney Children’s Practice was also recognised as a Finalist for Paediatric Allied Health Team of the Year. Sydney Children's Practice was also the winner of the Psychology Practice of the Year in 2025 in the Small Business Professionals Champions Awards.
